Alright you finally made it over. I first saw your ride at Truckin' Nationals sitting by the entrance. Ya, I took about ten pictures of it 
Doing that back-half and 4L80e swap are just plain sweet. I noticed leaf springs at the show...why not just go with a four link?
LS1edit is a very usefull program. There are many guys who are familiar with it - a lot of F-body guys in AZ come to my mind that are pretty good in tuning. I have figured much of it out also for my truck.
You can bore a gen3 block...it just requires new sleaves for the aluminum blocks.
Hey Dave, you said you know someone who has put an LS6 intake on their truck? Why would they do this? I am just curious. I have done the same thing, as I have to make clearence for something else going on

I used the Aluminum intake because the stock composite intake just plan cant flow enought air with a naturally asperated motor. Plus it allowed me to run a complete direct port kit at 6 psi. The block i used is a stock 6.0 2001 block that i bought new from the dealership. I then had it machined out thirty thousands and used the lunati 4" stroke crank and Lunati's 6.125 I beam rods.
I have Edit. I was just wandering how you were getting away with so much hp with out maxing out your computers Air Mass limit. May i also ask you how much boost and what cam you are running?

As I mentioned in another post here, I too bought the Weiand aluminum manifold for mine as I am too needing more clearance for something new – hope we don’t have to same idea??? 
Good to know I have a local maybe we can meet up at the Sat night cruse?
