Welcome. There have been many people on here who have seen your truck in those magazines (including myself), and were pretty impressed. When that first magazine came out and said you had a built motor with a procharger and nitrous, we all knew that would be one fast truck. Very nice work.
I know we all want to see some time slips.

Aaaaahhhhhh...I can whoop ya with my 4.8.
Great truck you have there. I saw the Truckin issue when it came out. But as usual they didn't print enough info. I think it's great what your doing. Definantly keep us updated and glad you finally showed. Get those numbers up for us and claim the title on the Fastest truck list!

What Did you end up doing with your Belt setup with the ATI D1?
I'm in the Process of building a boosted 6.0l and having issues with belt slip with the 5.3l
you have any pics of the engine bay with all the nice piping ?

Guys thanks for the props!
I am not sure I can get you the numbers for the truck in a ¼ mile – here is why. With the horsepower we are “planning” on it having it my be to much for the track. i.e. lets say I have enough power to get into the 11’s or even better – I would then need a six point roll cage, I only have a four point. I would have to ditch my rear window to put in two more bars going through my bed cover only to hack two holes in my bed and weld them to my frame.
I will however be posting mpegs of the dyno run/s on my website and there is a list of mods already there to view. I have a good idea what this thing might be capable of but I want to let the numbers speak for themselves as far as the horsepower etc. A friend told me I might be able to get something hooked up on the facility they filmed the drag race part of Fast & Furious on – I hear it is an old military airport or something? Anyway, it would not be an NHRA track and hence I could run with what I got? Anyone know about the track or that place I hear they used to or still do run auto’s there?
The Roll Cage A Buddy did it for me he now works at – Inclusive Metals, he is in the articles – I will ask him if he is into pre-fabing them and sending them out for those who want them?
The piping and the pic’s of the engine I would like to get all the wires, programming and dyno runs done before I post any pic’s as we will need to have access to the wires etc during the runs. I will get some engine pic’s posted when the dyno mpegs go up on my site for ya.
The headers as I said will have the new HPC Hyper Tech coating and the rest of my exhaust and all my inter-cooling pipes have the standard HPC coating on them. I am in the process of reviewing another major under the hood mod – and removing some of the piping for many reasons some of which are the longer the run of pipe the more you lose in temperature and velocity and even coated with the HPC coating the pipes do get hot under a hood – hell anything gets hot under a hood. I am going to wait and see how much this new header coating helps – they say up to 56% reduction in heat so we shall see.
As for the belt slippage – I had a whipple on my 2001 Tahoe which ran 14.4 in the ¼ (on my web site) and the D1SC on this truck both of which slipped from time to time – I even have friends with the new Radix that swear they slip now and then. The ATI type chargers tend to slip a bit more if your motor raps up fast as they tend to take a bit to turn but they also ad more power than many others. Yes the belt did slip before, I used to get that melted rubber stuff on the under side of my hood it looked like a rear quarter panel after a good burnout. Now with my crank having an 1820 bob weight this thing should be rapping up way fast. Not sure what the answer will be or if it will slip again or not but I will let you know how it turns out.
