Anybody else trying to make horsepower? *DELETED*

where i ran once..they let u run once and then check ur stuff if u go to run again and ur fast. u could possibly be good for one run. but sinse ur truck looks so insane they will probably check before hand..u could always try

Alright got some competition now. Truck looks good. Nice to know were keeping the stepside tradition.

My question to you is what computer setup are you running on your truck. With my old 5.3, with the whipple i kept hitting the max limit in grams/sec in the computer. So now with my new setup i tried to stay away from the hole forced induction. How do you get away with running that much power with the stock computer?

There are quite a few guys running Edit. I still plan on getting it after the whipple goes on my truck. I just bought the Predator to tied me over for a while. But my BIG project has been put off till next year. I'm still contemplating an F-body to shoot for 10's and have a Blown 13 sec tow truck. That's the combo I'm leaning toward.

First off your truck makes me
. Now I will look at mine and give that evil look like" why cant you be like that other truck"
That thing is total badness. Many props to you. CAn I drive it around the block? Better yet tell me where you live so I can borrow it

Matt
I can not run on any NHRA regulated track as I only have a four point and the truck will not pass any tech at any track (that I know of or have been to) – if you heard this thing in person or saw it in person with the wrinkle wall tires on it you too would deny it if you were a tech.
How do I know it runs 10’s how can I prove it to you for a FACT with track video– I can’t yet – period end of story. But I can tell you that a bunch of people (over 20) saw me smoke a high 10 car just before the photo shoot and that is where the mention of the 10 in the article came from.
That is why I am looking for the place that is in CA that they filmed the Fast & Furious movie at – I hear they let you run as you show up, I here it is not a NHRA regulated track but rather an old air field????
Alls, I can say is the 5.3 was a bust (enter the law suit) so we made a 6.0 and have now made it even better with the new computer stuff and a ton more mods - see mods here http://www.mashedpedal.com/weird75.html
After we dyno it and we get the new numbers (you will be able to see the actual numbers in the mpegs) you then can do the math and be able to figure out where I am at or close. Use this link to help Estimate Quarter-Mile ET from Horsepower http://www.mashedpedal.com/weird46.html
750 HP to 1000 HP (flywheel) @ 4200 lbs. vehicle with driver is defiantly in the 10’s - this is also based on perfect conditions and perfect launches so I will be building some extra horsepower to compensate for the lack of days in which the planets are aligned.
It is not rocket science figuring out how much gear and HP it takes to move x amount of weight to get to a specific time or speed. There are many performance calculators out there to figure it all out, many of which are used by the top dogs in their respective fields i.e. John Force etc. etc.
I hope this helps – I am a little emotional about it because every tech I meet has been the biggest D*^k about letting me on the track.
They hear me start it up pull up in line and its as if I don’t even have a shot before they even look at – then they open the hood and look in the bed and see the four point “not a six” and its over.
What I can tell you is I would much rather have an mepg video of me holding control of the naked raped bastard all the way down a track but that’s not going to happen at any NHRA regulated deal. I would be willing to even pay for an ambulance to have the track for a couple of hours if anyone knows of a track not to far from AZ I could go to and get this done – NOT in CO either – who races in the mountains please.
Hope this answers your question.
