I'd like to put in some new spark plugs this weekend, any tips on how not to mess up? The main one I'm concerned about is the back passanger side, looks like a very tight fit. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Mine only took me about an hour to swap all of them. It was a very leisurely pace because I inspected the plugs coming out as I did them. Just be easy with your wires and don't put an excessive amount of anti-sieze on your new plugs.

It's not a bad job, all you need is a spark plug socket, one with the rubber insert is a plus, and a couple diff. length extensions, make the job easier. I used a socket with the hex end on the top of it and used a wrench to turn the socket on the back passenger plug. Take your time installing them, and not crossthread, use a little smudge of anti-seize on the plugs, and dont overtighten.

The rear passenger side plug is the only one that is difficult. The right size extension or the M.Roberts method will make it a lot easier. Also, if you can get a locking extension (one that won't let the socket come off the extension) it goes faster.

Try changing plugs on a 4.6L or 5.4L Ford truck.
Ford made sure to make it hard to change their plugs.
