any problems with storing an engine for a year???

shouldnt really be a problem, i let a motor sit in a truck, outside, with no spark plugs in it for two and a half yrs. poured some oil in the cylinders, turned it over by hand a few times, primed the oil pump, and she fired right up no problems whatsoever. Maybe i just got lucky, but...
