Default any one has a bigger oil pan pn his truck?

been thinking about this for a while now

I go offroading when the truck is leveled , and do some high RPM speeds for a long time in 4th and 5th

actulay the 5.3 died due to haveing the rpm AT 5800+ for over a minute I think I sucked the pan dry and spun a bearing

id really like if I can get a 7-8L pan if any one is making them

Just a thought, but why not use your stocker or buy a stock pan and weld in some kickouts? Be a lot cheaper.

Dry sump, or swap out the stock AFM oil pump for the non AFM. If your engines have been AFM from the factory the have a high volume pump that will drain the oil pan real fast.

I have an extra pan off a 2008 2500 suberban 6.0
I'm going mount on the ole 5.3 alumnium block and start looking where I can stretch it

bu I need to know if some one made a bigger wet sump thats just a dircit swap from the OEM one , I dont want to alter the oil cooling lins .

dry sump is expenssive , needs an external pump , and that doing alot of things that would make it over costly

I don't think any one make's a drop in pan for your truck. Your going to have to build something.

As mentioned don't use the AFM oil pump or any aftermarket High Volume oil pumps

I seriously doubt your 5.3 failed due to sucking the pan dry. The engine holds 6.6 liters of oil, at which any given time only about a 1.5L can be suspended in the upper engine. The rest remains in the pan. If you're beating on it, you should probably be watching the oil pressure more often. Oil shortage would be instantly apparent...

If the engine failed, I would suspect it's because it's NOT designed to run at redline for more than 1 minute. Hell, it's not even supposed to be at redline more than a couple of seconds.

arround here we only have 1 track so its all about the street 1 mile from a dig or high speed high way racing from rolls

OK

if I dont need the damper, what rpm should I shift at , I was shifting @ 6400 on the 5.3 and 6600 on the 6.0 , would really like to spin this to 6600~ on 1st ,6400on 2nd, 6200on 3rd , and shift at 6100@4th & 5th
