Default Any LS1 trucks?

Just put an LS1 with a cam in my truck but waiting on the tune from Nelson to come in tomorrow. I was just wondering results and what I should expect out of it.

Expect to kiss your 60-e goodbye.

My truck, untuned w/ stock converter, cast manifolds, and a 3.42 open rear went 13.91 @ 101 on 20's. With the 80-e, converter, 4.11's and some DR's, the truck's gone 13.1 @ 108. Still not tuned...grrrr. But hopefully that will be fixed shortly.

Nope...that was all motor. I'm still using stock heads. It's run 11.57 @ 119 on a 100 shot in perfect weather. Just went to the track last week and ran an 11.92 @ 118 on a 150 shot in warmer, more humid air.

theres 3 different sets of stock heads for the ls1's, and a few came with a 4th head stock intended for the ls2/ls6

do you know what year your motor is?

Mine aren't LS6 heads. I'm pretty sure that they're the 853's, but I'd have to double check to make sure.

I think the idle was bumped up a little bit, but that's it. I have trouble here and there with it idling. And a tiny bit of surge when it's cold, but other than that not much to speak of.
