So, 11 page thread. 10 of it filled with Fast355 BS.
To inferno, my apologies this thread is filled with his BS.
With mods, think about what you want to accomplish, put a plan together and execute plan. Never be afraid to ask for help here.
I think what you were expecting with headers, you could've done gears or a converter and been much happier.
Is headers a bad mod? Of course not. I think, personally, the tune may be off. What is off? Very hard to say without logs.
Your stock muffler is a bottleneck now. It's 70lbs of ****. Period.
When I did my headers, I read, alot. Almost every post I read said that the engine runs lean when headers are introduced.
Then I stumbled acrossed a post that said "....despite what people think, headers will cause an engine to run rich". That comment was made by Steve Frost. I adjusted my tune accordingly and it turns out, Frost was right.
My point is, an email tune can only take you so far. Learning and educating yourself on how to tune your own stuff IS overwhelming. It takes time and patience but you can do it.

I will say the RIGHT headers make all the difference in the world. All this oversize primary crap being needed is a load of BS. SCAVENGING is more important than flow and all you are doing with a primary over 1 3/4" is hurting scavenging for flow capacity that frankly on such a small/weak engine is not needed.

I will say it again for the guys complaining about lack of torque from massive *** header primaries WRONG for their setups!!!!
These on my now 196/206 @ .050 cammed 5.7 with ported 906 heads and a marine intake. Notice if you will those are dual 3" headpipes even. The 1 5/8" primaries and 2.5" collectors work great for grunt.

Allow me to pull this down the road at ~ 2,700 rpm (where I am already making over 400 ft/lbs) @ 65 mph with the converter locked up and maintain speed and even accelerate up slight grades. Long/Steep hills force a downshift to 2nd/Lock and 4,100 rpm right where I am still making over 400 ft/lbs.

Like I said best of luck making torque without the right headers, I already make plenty and have plans for more gear and cubes at a later date.

Actual engine and header designs, or ficticious builds that you fabricate on the internet to look cool for people you dont know? I know ive seen that one from you...there is no point in replying to me. Ive already decided that everythinng you say is a lie. Why lie about such petty things though?
