In LS1edit there is a section where you can set the fans to "On". You can also set the temps for each fan.

Now, whether or not the truck computer is capable(does it have the right software) of controlling the fans is still a mystery. That section in Edit may just be some generic code that is in every version? I don't know.

The only way I would know to test that feature would be to turn the fan setting on and set the temp lower than what the truck normally runs. Then once the temp gets to the turn on point probe any open pins on the computer to see if they have been grounded. wouldnt it be in a wiring diagram or something if it is setup i'll be the guinea pig if someone can tell me if there are wires or where to hook up?

how about this, can you monitor it with atap, if atap will bring it up and show it turing on at the set temp then i would see a much better chance that the computer would have an output.

 

i just hooked up atap and didn't see any fan options, i would think you would be able to monitor it with atap if it was there.

 

The truck pcm's do not have the fan feature available...Allen's does because he has an entire LS1 computer and harness.
