Default 5.3 to 6.0

is it worth changing out the 5.3 to the 6.0 and will the factery tranny and wirering harnes work
any one with a 1500 with a 6.0 lightly moded what do you all run? and how much did this mod cost <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I did some looking and found several 6.0 at salvage yards...low miles in the 1,500 price range.Everything is interchangable,just pull out the 5.3 and put in the 6.0.If i understand right though,it has to be a 2001 or newer 6.0.

yep, just drop it in. i paid $1500 shiped to my door. and yea you want the 01 or newer, the older ones might work but they have iron heads that are not as good.

if your going na then you might try and find an escalade one since it has higher compresion. jason99ta was selling one at a great price recently, he might still have it. seems like he was running mid 13's with just a few bolt on's. i recomend this swap to everyone.

I still have the 6.0l for sale! If you dont mind driving to Lubbock & letting Joseph install it you can have it for $1650 installed!!!!!!!!!!! Thats with you leaving your 5.3l as a core for me to put my truck back to stock!
