You really had me questioning if I said that... I was agreeing with you on the temp probe. Somehow we got it crossed up cause we are both saying the same thing

The more I read bout your controler the more I like it. I know if this VSC goes it im definitly goin to use the controler you have.

I read the stuff about where the temp probe goes from the DSC website. I figured the info would work on more than just their setup. I think the place where you have your temp probe gets more accurate readings compaired to mine, but im not having problems so ... I guess im not gonna fix whats not broke

So ... you know how with the VSC setup the fans cycles on and off etc, does yours do that too? Im sure its less noticable...
Or is it more like its on low.. then goes faster.. or slower depending on the temps?

(BTW - here is a nice big E-HUG for ya )

According to the FAQ on the Eaton website, it says:
"What type of lubricant and limited slip additive should I use with my newly purchased Eaton Limited Slip Differential?

Eaton strongly recommends utilizing an API-GL5 approved Mineral-Based 80W-90 Axle Lubricant and one 4-oz bottle of Limited Slip Additive (GM or Ford)."

yay i read that about the diff fluid. all the diff people here even the race people are using the synthetics. they said they would warranty it so they put it in. it works great. and for all that have a g80 and think it is nice. you have no idea. eaton is bad a**.

ok on the controller.when they come on its like on low. i think they start out at 10% and work there way up. they come on instantly at 50% with the a/c. but since it is at 50% theres not much of a spike at all. with the temps it is nice. i have yet to see them come on more than about 40%.they will stay on at 40% until it gets cooler and then work there way down.the most of the time they are about 25%. when i get on the freeway they dont even come on at all except for maybe 10%. its not fun shining a spot light throught the cowl hood holes to see. but i think it works since there is no set speed to draw from like a 60 or 100% draw.it is a nice piece. and is very easy to hook up. also i hooked up a switch between the a/c signal andthe controller. that way when i get on the freeway i hit the switch so the fans dont come on with the a/c while doin 70 or above.

Whoa guys...

The FAL instructions I have said to put the temp probe near the radiator inlet hose.

DCC says anywhere on the side of the radiator outlet hose.

Just thinking out loud... but why would you want it on the outlet? Any reasons?
(you meaning DCC and their staff )
Im just thinking that ... if you put it on the outlet, isnt that the temp thats already cooled... so not really your engine temp? I think you said its scaled down or something like that....

I wonder why ...

That was something I was thinking about all day today... I honestly can't really say for sure.

My only guess would be that it makes the unit more efficient? As in, if the coolant is already "cool enough", then the fans don't have to run?

I'm not sure what temp I should set the thing at. I got another post out here in this section asking for opinions on it.
