i deffinitly planned on getting a tran. cooler the bigger the better.

As far as tune the guy i had in mind generally has alot of experience as far as LS1s he would do a street tune

How much does getting your tranny built tougher roughly cost?

When these mods are done i doubt i will do anything else to the truck so i want everything to work together and be reliable plus im not lookin for tons of power just as much as i can SAFELY squeeze out of this 4.8 .

I personally don't know how much a trans rebuild is or whatever. I know that speed engineering has a nice 4l80e conversion kit that comes with everything you need. if you want to add a little more power safely along with the cam and the trans mods, I'd put a 50 or 75 dry shot on it. As long as you do it right, the nitrous can be very reliable and safe, especially if you have someone tune it right. Nitrous is the biggest bang for buck pretty much. when i go with the tr224 im going to run a nitrous express 100 dry shot for the track . do some research on the forum (ie use the search button lol) about the 4l80e stuff and tranny rebuild costs/4l65e costs.

Got my tranny guy here in town to fully rebuild mine into a bulletproof machine, cooler, shift kit, and 3200 TC for 1800 flat.

As per Tq mgmt, if the tranny is fully built, take all of it off.

I'm getting a cam, ls2 ported intake, and headwork at the beginning of 2007.

I would go with the TSP high-lift 220 cam.

I wasnt putting out very much HP, and went thru quite a few transmissions..
it's just one of those things, you might you might not, just getting you ready if it happens..
My trans ran me about $3,000..

I also run 2 Trans coolers on mine, and the temps right now dont get much over 150*
even beating on it..

I will start looking into getting my or a tranny built i guess the sayinig "You got to pay to play " is true.

More about the cam can a TR220 and a 3000-3200 TC be streetable with the right tune and supporting mods?
