Default 4.8 to 6.0 SWAP info NEEDED

I found a 6.0 out of a 2001 gmc 2500 w/48k on the engine and its complete. I need more info on 01 and earlier models not bolting up to the trans. Any help is great . I tried a search , but most of the info is directed @ 5.3 owners. Any swap tips would be great. Would I be the only one to swap to a 6.0 before I got a metal tag inthe mail?

THANKS in advance!!!

You shouldn't have any trouble connecting a 6.0 to your tranny. I've done one from a 5.3 to a LQ9.

Isnt the 2001s the last year of the longer crank??? I THINK you will need to space your crank, not 100%positive, maybe someone else will chime in
