another cam for 4.8 thread...

Default another cam for 4.8 thread...

if im going to put a cam in my truck...and only mods are an intake, and dumped muffler...

what cam shoudl i go with? stock exhaust manifolds, stock heads...stock everything btu the cam and valve springs...and ill be getting a mailorder tuen fro it.

iw as thinking a tr220 or 210/218...which will be best 1/4 mi wise?

i have a 5spd....no stall convertors needed

how was it compared to stock? im sure its a lot better, using stock springs as well or no?

i'd put stock ls6 springs on with his cam just to be safe.. you can get those cheap used

id put a 212/218 or a 216/220 in their... dunno if the 220 might be to big for the 4.8? Im sure some have done it so they can help ya

well i guess ill start out, low 14's is all im looking for, i figure a nice cam, and w4m tune...and headers shortly after will get me close to that #

I'm going with the Comp high lift version on mine. Comp said the 5.3's liked it, so why not.

definatle noticable, I am running 918s only cuz i planned on going bigger later on, you would be fine with ls6 springs though.

ill keep ya in mind when i get some money if u still have it, wont be for a while though, just want to get everything planned out before-hand

ive heard a lot of ppl say the tr224 is to big for the 4.8...but im sure i'd love it lol
