IMHO the TR224 is a little big for the 4.8....but with a 5 speed you may be able to get away with it, Stick with a 206/212 or 212/218 though to be certain

01 Thunder,

Who did your tuning for the 224 and are you a manual or automatic?

You also said you haven't seen anyone running you times... what times are you running and what numbers did you put down?

Thanks

I'm TR224 on 112 Like Thunder. People who says it's too big don't have this cam. I drive my truck 250 miles a week daily. No problems at all with ideling. Like I've said before, You notice how the people WITHOUT TR224 say it's too big for a 4.8. However the people with the cam and a 4.8 say it's just fine...

Nelson originally did the tuning, and I ran the 13.82 on that tune..
but I have learned how to tune, and I am taking a crack at it, to tune for the latest mods I have done.

the old fastest truck list we had on here had a N/A list..
I was #15 or so on that list..
First 4.8L to hit 13's N/A and
the only 4.8L to hit 13's for a while, untill some of the other guys started putting the 224 in their 4.8's,
as far as I know I still hold the fastest N/A time..
not much but I am proud of it

I have a TCI 3500 Stall 2.5 STR with a 3.73 rearend. I don't have any times though, haven't ran it at the track. It would be useless with my street tires. The converter will rip you out of the hole though. I can hammer it from 10-15MPH and spin all the way to 50 MPH and it'll grab.
