Default aluminum 5.3

hey just picked up 4 5.3 motors that are suppose to be out of 2006 chevy trucks. I have a question one of the motors is all aluminum with a different intake and the fuel rails are square the heads are the 799's any numbers on the motor I could look at to figure out what year and model it is out of? I know for sure its not out of a 2006. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is probably an L33. That is a high compression aluminum block version of the lm7 which is more common.

there's 2 or 3 types of Aluminum 5.3's. One is a DOD engine.

I really think it must be out of a newer body style truck it doesn't have the knock sensor wiring coming out of the intake and the cam postion wire is almost down by the crank if this is the case you have to run the newer computer i'm assuming? not sure on that

It has the wire behind the waterpump and the balancer like my 6.2 must be similiar but not sure what year the variable cam timing came out still looks like it would be a cool motor to do something with
