I searched but could not find a good answer. Is anyone running a XR265HR, or the famous 212/218 low lift on any turbo setups? I have been tossing around the idea of selling my Pacesetters and Volant and going with a mild turbo setup but i dont wanna change the cam out. Thanks in advance..

 

FWIW, I loved my high lift version of that cam with my turbo. That exhaust bias seems to work well with turbos.

 

Yeah i figured it is not the "perfect cam" for a Turbo, but it has a fairly wide LSA on a 114 and the split duration favors the exhaust...

 

seems like where on the same boat bud. I was also wondering about this the other day I would like to go turbo one day with my current mods, but i dont know what turbo to go with????

 

I too dont know what to do?? lol Maggie or procharger?....get to keep my headers lol or say hell with it any get a front mount and sell the headers and volant to make up some lost cash? Decisions! Been kinda looking at Tricks stage one kit....its cheap? only safe to go around 7-9 psi since its non intercooled but for my daily that will be enough for now... and one day i can intercool it and turn the boost up...

 

Anyone else run something close to the 212/218?? I know this cam is probably one of the most used ever in a 5.3 so i figure someone else has also ran it with a turbo??
