the track location and elevation has a lot to do with it. A lot of it has to do with the atmospheric pressure. At sea level the atmospheric pressue is 14.7 psi. For example, if the atmospheric pressure is 4.7 psi at a high elevation then the air is less condensed. If you were to run a supercharger at 10 psi, the you would run the close to as the one w/o a SC at sea level. That is why people that run at Baytown (at sea level) have such good numbers.
By the way how do vehicles accomidate for elevation change fuel wise?

Hey my friend Brandon or Sleek Silverado was telling me about this and i drove his truck that night. I made the 15.13 pass. The truck had the mods in his sig, minus the electric fans, and the pass was at around 8 o clock at night. weather was real good. He is not bs'ing the times. i just recently tapped his new tranny pan for future mods. but other then that we also removed his backseat though for that pass. I can not be there this weekend, because of conflicts with work. i will be there another time. sorry for the novel, and i have worked on plenty of LS1's

I know a lot of member are skeptic about the ext cab running low 15's. I was too untill I saw it. There are a lot of variables that take place. This particular truck that i saw run a 15.3 ran on the average a 15.5 with the worst time of 15.8. These runs were all on the same night. I really think it was a freak run if there is such a thing. 15.3 should not be hard to belive. I can where you are comming from when people claim dipping into the 14 with ext cab and having only exhaust.

the only truck i think can dip into the 14s with the basic boltons(i/h/e hpp3) is the regcab 5.3 w/ 3.73s and locker. but thats the only truck that might do it. anything else that claims to dip into 14s on street tires with those mods i call bs.

I made this pass on a hot humid crappy July night with 3/4 tank of 87 octane gas, bone stock with no weight reduction. The engine clattered like crazy from the 87 octane fuel. I didn't plan on racing so I was running the cheap stuff.
1/4 ET - 15.954 1/4 MPH - 86.23
This is no BS and I have the time slip and witnesses to prove it. I have NO doubt I'll do better in cold air and with 93 octane gas.

Hey Hyperlite, PM me your address and I will send pics of a truck running a 14.89. Extended cab with I/H/E hpp3 and 3.73 locker. I will also send video of SAME truck's engine bay, and pics with matching dates of the timeslip. With the trucks dial in number matching the timeslip also. Can't get more proof than that other than being there!!!!!!!!!!!

I8AHEMI, thanks for some proof that it can be done. I am not ******* your truck, but it is a 99 which is typically slower than the 00+ because they have 15 less hp. Anyhow, I am glad I am not the only one with a FREAK truck. Nice job!
