Default 93 Suburban Questions

I have a 93 Suburban...I start it up in the morning, and when i take off, it hesitates, then it runs fine for the rest of the day....Could it be the injectors? Also, what type of plugs and wires are recommended?? I have the 454...what else would make it run nice? it has about 127000 miles on it...any input would be appreciated, thx

Default Re: 93 Suburban Questions

This truck is TBI right? If it is running like *** try some of these:

Fuel Filter (betcha it hasn't been swapped in a while!)
Spark Plugs, Wires
Air Filter
PCV

Check the HEI module and coil too. A good injector cleaning will set you back around $100-150, not that "pour in the gas tank" crap.

Worse case scenario, get a Haynes manual for the truck and run the OBD-I tests on the computer.
