Default 918s or PRC Double springs???

Ok guys so i am finally going to be putting my cam in here within the next month.. I am having my Tuner do the work for me, But he only gets 918 springs or PRC double spring kits. And i know my TR220 isnt aggressive enough for the PRC springs.. and i dont want to run the 918s becuz of all the horror stories ive heard, My tuner has never had one break on him..

So my question is should i spend the extra $100 and get the PRC spring kit and have some extra protection or should i give the 918s a shot?

Thanks guys..

Derek

from what ive seen and read the new 918s have been fine, only seen one incident but they were running them really close to limit and had suspected coil bind. if your that worried about it buy some pac's yourself and take em to him, just my2cents..

I've seen several threads of broken New 918's. I'd go with dual and stop worrying.

Stick with the beehive spring design an ti retainers. No need to swap to PRC doubles when they aren't needed. Beehive springs provide benefits over double spring and are much better springs for your application imo.

Don't trust me on your came swap?

I trust you, But your price was about the same as his and i have to take it to him to have it tuned anyways, so easier to have it all done at one spot

aren't all these springs made by pac? prc and patriot gold's are the same company(pac) and the new 918's and pac 918's are the same and sdpc springs are made by pac. correct me if I am wrong. go duals IMO because you will have that peace of mind whenever you are spinning it up to 6500.
