Default 86 Chevrolet Silverado 350 Edelbrock Carburateur Issues :( ???!!!

ok...I'm pretty sure its the Carburateur...Everytime I get in it I start it...it runs..as long as i keep in the gas as soon as i let off the gas...it kills the motor...even after the motor is warmed up I was wandering if ne one knew the Stock settings for the Carburateur like the 2 front screws...if i twist them all the way in..how far do i back them out..for stock..i can alter it as soon as i can get this ****** to idle...i just can't remember what the stock recomendations were on it..

Thanks Guys!!! ne other idea..would be appreciated.

yep, 1.5 or 2 turns is a good starting point, also maybe your idle screw just backed up some..

Possibly a float level problem, I have a buddy going through about the same thing. adjusting the idle circuit helped very little. coming off idle is where the problem is. either a stuck metering rod or a stuck or saturated float. He's workin 12hrs a day now so I haven't had time to check more. good luck

Dude you are running dead rich off idle.... thats why it loads up once you hit the throttle then clears out after a second and goes.... you need to tune the idle to mid throttle transition.... possibly bigger rods?
