Default 810TQ on a stock whipple

i already know what all are gonna say about me swappin an 8.1L b/c i have used the search button and know a sb is better than a bb.......but.........i ran accross this whipple s/c kit for the 8.1L that (intercooled) produces about 530HP and about 810TQ.....so i thought to myself, that would be fun to play around with .....which leads me to my next question.

does anyone know of any performance parts available for the 8.1? i am afraid this will be my downfall as i am not sure what all bolts up to it (trans, wiring, accessories, etc.) and who all makes parts for it. i have an 02 chevy rcsb 5.3....any help much appreciated.

raylar is the only guy i know of that makes anything worthwhile for the L18 8.1L big block

i hear the pistons are the weak link in this motor and dont like boost very well

Whippled496 has an 8.1L whippled in his 2500HD truck ya might try lookin him up

tierod used to have a 8.1L-powered truck and went through many stages with it

As far as I know most late model BB stuff will fit on there. Check the boat markets for heads and what not. They have some sick 8.1's in the off shore boats and such.

THere's a couple of guys on the site here that have some pretty nasty 8.1's too.
