Default 5.3 Big power loss

I put my Pacesetter LT's, ORY and Borla XR1 on today. I have 4ft of 3" and a resonator I still need to hook up when I find someone to bend it for me, Which will hopefully be tomorrow.
It is way loud but i'm hoping the resonator and extra 4 ft of pipe will help that out a bit. When I take off it seems like I gained a little power in 1st at about 30-40 before it shifts and then just start losing power at about 65. by the time it hits 80 its lost alot of momentum compared to the catback that was on it.
I obviously need a tune but just as it shifts from 1-2 at WOT it sounds like flames are shooting out of the muffler. which i guess is a possibility since its just the lt's y-pipe and then muffler.
Is there anything else i need to do to help the top end other than a tune?

here's a clip i did of it, I had the windows up in hopes you could here what i'm talking about during the shift but the mic just can't pick up so much sound.

Your speedo must be off or something, looks like you got to 50 mph in 1st gear, i couldn't do that until i got my headers and e-fans, i might not have even got there. Anyway, yah you need a tune, at least fix your 2nd gear shift rpm to more than 5100 rpm, i hate that ****.

actually its 5 off. it usually shifts saying 40-45 ish at wot. My sisters BF drove next to me one day and my 65 was his 70.

Edit: Just watched the video after posting it (was watching it direct from the HD and the sound is a touch off, it shifted at about 45 which is actually 50. It gained a little in 1st gear.
there was a little wheel slip at about 35 that I've never been able to do before. Not much, but more than none.

yah that's what i figured. Yah so a tune will help you out with those headers, your shift rpm and rev limits and you bigger tires for your speedo. SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED A TUNE

What's the stock 0-60 time? Doesn't seem right that your doing it in 9-10 seconds. But a tune will take care of that loss of HP.

Not sure about the stock 0-60 but mine is 6-7 seconds.. My speedometer is off with those 275-55-20"s. so read 55 as 60 until i get it fixed.
I got out today and tried it out some more. I used to be able to hit 90 in 2nd and 70-90 was pretty quick, but now i get to about 80-85 in 2nd. Seems a little stronger at that speed in 3rd tho than it used to.
For now i'm still running LT, ORY, Resonator, and Borla xr1. My 4 ft of piping is still in the back of my truck because I can't find any shops that can bend anything larger than 2.5"
I'll have to check some shops in OKC.

I'm going to get a tune ASAP. Hopefully no later than the end of the week depending on Danny's schedule. I want a speed density tune but until i get a cam i just need a basic tune to get everything balanced back out.

The sound the exhaust makes during a WOT shift is horrible tho. I'm hoping adding the 4ft of piping will clear it out tho. I tried to catch it in that video but the mic just can't catch it.

One thing i forgot to add.
This afternoon when i started it up i held it up to 2krpm and it dropped back down to 1700 at the same throttle. tried it a couple time and i could get up to 2k quickly and hold it, then it would drop back down. Did this for a while until it got warmer, but I thought it was a little odd.

sounds really good but seems like it needs better gearing imo.

Well since you have no cats your rear o2's are probably going haywire and your computer is probably dumping fuel into your engine. I guarantee you that you're running either super rich or super lean right now. Get a tune, you can't just ditch cats and expect your truck to react possitively to that without a tune.
