New numbers and I am pleased! 383 HP at 5100RPM and 436 TQ at 4000 RPM at the wheels! This is the first pull with the 6.0-the last pull witht the 5.3 was 337 HP at 5000 RPM and 377 TQ at 4400RPM. This thing has picked up at least 40 horsies and 50 ft lbs throughout the entire RPM range with no changes other than the displacement. Hard to believe that bore size alone can make that much diffeence. I am happy with the 6.0 now

 

Yikes. Nice numbers. Sounds like a pretty good investment to me. Those better flowing heads must be a benefit, as well as the extra 40 cubic inches.

 

Great numbers. That is still through the stock exhaust manifolds correct? You need to get a converter and some long tubes and get that thing in the deap 12's.

Yes, stock 5.3 manifolds, y pipe, cats, stock converter with stock slipping tranny (just as I predicted) 7 to 7.5 lbs of boost. Over the winter I plan on doing long tubes with either no cats or 3 inch high flows, a Yank, a new tranny and raising the boost to about 9.

 

better add a fuel pump to your list. with good exhaust and 7.5psi my pump is done.

i will hopefully be able to give a dyno number for the same set up but with headers and no cats, i was going to go in this week but decided to get a fuel pump first so maybe next week. sounds like if it is runing right i should be well into the 400's. i have heard the f bodys fuel pumps run out around 450rwhp, i am sure i have more driveline loss than them guys but it seems prety consistant that the fuel pump ran out when it did.

what kind of dyno, i will be on a mustang dyno and it seems like there is somewhat of a corection factor between dynos. can't wait, i have never done the dyno thing.
