Default 6.2l with tvs1900

So I need some help. I'm new to the forced induction game. I could use some advice that's not going to cost me. Everyone I've talked to wants me to pay for a build sheet of their cams and springs.

I have a 2010 Sierra Denali with the 6.2l. I have recently purchased a tvs1900 with a 3.0 pulley to go with it. I don't tow often but once or twice a year I'll move something on a smallish trailer.

What I would like to do is upgrade the cam, springs, push rods, headers and add gauges. But what size, brand should I go with?

Thanks for everybodies advice. I really appreciate it

I run the ls9 also... Not saying that there isn't better choices for more power out there but if you want something that idles nice and is a great daily driver, it's a pretty substantial gain.IMHO.

A custom spec'd cam for your setup will give you something with much better bottom end. The LS9 cam was designed for a light car and factory emissions etc. There's a lot about the specs that are not optimal for a truck esp. one your towing with. Does a LS9 cam work, ya but there are much better options.

every time anyone utters the words "ls9 cam" here you come to hate on it. there has to be 10+ threads on this forum of you hating on this cam. wheres the beef? did you take this cam on a date and it not call you back or what? it performs well for what it is. i spent ~$200 to swap in the ls9 cam and the truck screams. there are tons of better (more expensive) options but as cheap as the parts are, this is an excellent upgrade in my opinion.

I had a 010 6.2 1900 LS9 cam other bolt ons worked good,until a 1211x spring broke,I bought from tooley that he recommend.lasted maybe 20K miles

If I had to do over I would have gone custom grind and dual springs

have done way too many maggies to count and have done the ls9 and also custom grind cam .For the money and time you spend its a MUST to go custom grind .
Yea someone posted why soo much hate for a ls9 when its 200 Bucks.heres why.
For not that much more you can get a good custom cam do your swap and be done with it ONE TIME.You have to factor in time and materials when your doing a cam swap and for the money its just worth it to spend a few dollars more get a better cam that will make more low end and mid range power with your blower.Just my .02 cents
