Default 2003 lightning LS turbo build! Sorry Ford guys!

It was bound to happen and I'm glad it's mine. I've always liked the Ford lightnings and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to pick one up as a roller. I didn't plan on posting about it but where is the fun in that.

I sold my turbo c1500 and kept all my drivetrain. All of that will now go into the lightning. I plan on keeping all the factory gauges and AC will work as well. Can't run around Houston with no AC.

So far I built a set of motor mounts and set the motor inside. All I need to do now is build a transmission crossmemebr and the drivetrain will be good to go.

Here's is my build sheet.

Forged ls 370
Billet internal 4l80e
Borgwarner billet s480
Custom KB Racing log manifold and crossover
Holley Dominator ecu

The only thing I don't have is the log manifold but I'll get KB to put me on his busy schedule.

Yes there is plenty of room for what I need to do. It's going to be quiet as hell to. I am going to run a 4" down pipe, 4" catalytic converter, 32" long magna flow exhaust and it will have a 2.5" boost activated cut out that will go around the cat. I'm hoping for a mild sound until the cut out opens at 8psi

Vic, any details on that 4" cat converter? I was thinking of adding one to my setup.

No 4" exhaust ive ever had (and I have had several) has been "quiet" even with big mufflers. If I were you I would do a 4" cutout right at the bottom of the downpipe then neck down to 3" pipe for the rest.
