Ahh, a RCSB - I was thinking this truck was a S-SS.

They seem to be handling more duration than the heavy trucks. But still, I think you would need to comprimise performance somewhere in your choice of cams, if you're worried about mileage.

I don't think it's going to go straight down the toilet or anything - it's just not going to be as good as stock.

I think if you are not trying to put it on the edge,you want mileage and driveability and dont care about an extra .1 0r .2.Then go with 220 on a 114.Or are you one of these guys that can have an awsome running machine and will always wonder if you should have gone the extra?

i ran the comp 224-228-581-588-114+4. i made peak hp at 5900 rpm,s and got 16 to 17 on the highway.in town i never slowed down long enough to care really. i am putting a 224-224-581-581-112+4 in her now since i am going to stay n/a for a while. i think it will work out fine. and this is in a 5.3 with an 80e.
