Default 6.0 pistons, which ones for 10.5:1???

Is it possible to attain a 10.5:1 compression ratio in an LQ4 with pistons alone? Or is head work needed also. I think the stock piston/rod specs are like 4" stroke, 3.62" bore and 6.095" rod lentgh. Is that correct? Ive been looking at Diamond slugs but dont know which to look for.

Yes, your numbers are correct on a 6.0L bottom end.

I'm confused on your other questions...

Original question is in my original post.... "Is it possible to attain a 10.5:1 compression ratio in an LQ4 with pistons alone?"

Jared,

I'd suggest you talk directly with the folks at Diamond for a technically correct answer. BTW, the 6.0 bore is 4.00", and stroke is 3.62...you had it reversed in your post. Rod length is correct.

i think you can run close to 10.5 to 1 if you use an Lq9 piston and mill the heads

I might be wrong , but I believe the only difference between the LQ4 & LQ9 are the pistons. The LQ4 uses dished pistons and the LQ9 uses flat top pistons.
