Default 6.0 Liter heads on 5.3 Liter

Does any one know what my compression ratio would be if i put on a set of 6.0 Liter heads?

No, but the 6.0 heads are setup for the 4.00 bore and would not flow well into the 3.78 bore of the 5.3L.

Compression is going to be 8.6:1 using a stock LQ4 head and gasket. A better choice IMO is a stock chambered LS1 head and gasket for a CR of 8.9:1. If you have any chamber work done to them, the CR will be lower. This is assuming you are working with a stock 5.3 short block.

One other option - LS1 heads with a thicker LS1 head gasket (Cometic makes one @ .080 I think). This will put you @ 8.45:1. Its just begging for more boost.

so for stock bore or a little more i should get ls1 heads i was going to get a deal on a set of lq4 heads from someone i know but if thats the better idea i bet i can get some f-body guy to trade me
