Default 6.0 just took its first breath

it wasnt a pritty idle but it started..... got a couple things to tighten down like the headers and such.... going to throw the new tune in and take her for a test drive........

still no clue actualy i did double check all the grounds and then tried again and at first it didnt want to start but it finaly did...... it still isnt running right at all..... and i have no idea why.... it seems like its missing something bad... give it a little gas and the hole truck shakes bad.... this whole swap has been a nightmare

throw a vacuum gauge on it to see what its doing. you can see intake manifold leaks, worn guides, sticking valves, etc...the needle should be somewhat steady without fluctuations or drops in vacuum.

should be down hill from here. good work man. i remember those engine swaps. you are boiling over with excitement. once it starts you give that loud whoo-hooo!!!! its a tradition.

did you take any pics of your install . . . was there anything special that you had to get?

Did you just slap yours in, or was this a rebuild?

i got the engine compleate but i did take it apart and replaced all gaskets and made sure every thing was tightend down right... nothing special i had to get it was just reverse taking out the 5.3
