Default Engine swap guys, got a few questions

Can ya'll tell me how to remove the motor from the tranny and put it back. This is the only part that really bothers me. I know you're supposed to remove the starter to access the flywheel bolts. Then lower the tranny to get better access to the bellhousing bolts. Thats all I know. Please correct me if I'm wrong and tell me what else to do. Trying to get all my questions answered before I do the swap. Thanks!

Richard, I got to the top bellhousing bolts by crawling into the engine and reaching behind the intake. Use a gearwrench for these. If you dont have any gear wrenches get a set they will make your life easier.

Clint, what size gearwrench? I'm thinking a 15mm? Thanks!

Either 13 or 15. Its good to have both sizes along with a 10mm. When are you gonna start the swap?

15mm, yes, get a gear wrench. I did it (3 times so far) with the good ol box end. You can get about 1/4 turn at a time on the top. Guess how long that takes Ratchet wrenches are on my Christmas list.

You'll also want about 6 feet of extensions to get to the top half of the bell housing.
Careful putting the starter back in. If the wires ground out or get crossed, once you connect the batery the starter will fire off Ask me how I know.

Have fun, it sucks
