I just got done building my LQ4 with a Thunder Racing 224/224 .563/.563 112LSA. As far as I've seen a cam like mine with supporting mods will get you in the mid 12's with traction. I will however be running my Yank TT3000 stall... but like you said with a manual i think you'd be fine ... I also like that good choppy lope!

I talked to a fellow member here "sportside5.3"? I believe thats his screen name... I believe he said the +4 moves the powerband down lower?? or something like that... sorry Im no cam guru.... turns out it works great... I believe it has a hell of a top end as well... I ordered my cam from speed engineering>>>>> its a comp cam 226/226 .584/.584 112+4LSA on XER Lobes... great cam... my truck is still very streetable.... I know I could of gone bigger but I really did not want to, sometimes some people over cam their ride and it may hurt them.... I dynoed my truck and it pulled good to about 6250rpm then it just stayed a straight all the way to rev limiter.... but I know the truck intake is hurting it on the top end some...

gotcha, when you say streetable . . . what do you mean by that, . . . as far as gas miliage goes, or highway crusing speeds? What stall are you running with this cam?

streetable, it has a nice lope to it and it wont stall up, of course the tuning has alot to do with it... as far as gas mileage, I dont know, since I usually dont drive the truck always only keep about 1/3 tank full... I have a 3200 fuddle that I ordered when I had the 5.3 but now it flashes @ 3900-4000
