I checked it again, only this time I pulled the vac hose from the regulator. It jumped to 58-59 PSI. I turned the engine off, and it's holding pressure. Seems like all is in order there.

I did manage to get the hose on the front of the passenger's side valve cover plumbed up last night. I didn't like the idea of plumbing it into the plastic intake tube, so I tapped the throttle body in front of the blade for a 1/4 NPT to 6AN hose fitting.

That'll work. Pretty slick looking.

The intake reducer should be in today or tomorrow.

Is there still enough meat on the lip of the TB for the ring clamp to clamp the reducer onto the TB? Looks like there is only half an inch or so...

That elbow is completely behind the clamping surface. Must be a depth illusion in the pic.

THANKS TO JUSTIN...the truck is running great!!!!! Jenna told him what was going on in the emails, and he called me from work. He told me how to bump up the fuel pressure so that these injectors could temporarily put out what I need. All symptoms are gone and the truck runs great!

Not only that, he gave me a great deal on EFI Live v2, which I should have in about a week. Then we can iron out the rest of the tune details much more easily. I went with the v2 only because I want to tweak the trans on my other vehicle, which the v1 wouldn't do because of the model year.

As it turns out, the truck was probably not running as lean as we feared. Fuel trims have the capability to compensate for a 25% error in the tune. I was barely over that. So all's well that ends well. Justin was very cordial on the phone and took the time to explain things to me.

Great thread, been following it since your first post since I'm planning almost the exact same build (just maybe a half point less compression). When you do start to run it through the paces, do you mind posting up the duty cycle on the 31#'ers?

When can I romp on this thing already?!!! This thing is begging to go. I've given it maybe 1/2 throttle up to 4,500 RPMs, and it just feels so strong. It's begging for more! I figure I'd better wait at least until I get my EFI Live and turn the fuel pressure back down and program for the right injectors. BTW, I've got 125 miles on it now.
