I'm planning on using Rotella T 10W-30 for break-in oil. How about one of the following break-in additives to up the Zinc/ZDDP/Phosphorous levels a little? Lucas Zinc Additive, Rislone Zinc/ZDDP/Phosphorous Treatment.

Yes they are. Both Texas Speed and Blackbear agreed they should be sufficient. We'll find out.

Looks like this may not be what I want, as it's a semi-synthetic. Rotella 10W-30 HD T5

For your mods I agree they should suffice. I think stock is 25lb/hr and you'd just be over on them. If you want, I can check my duty cycle on my 42lb/hrs later off my log if you want. I'm pretty sure I have plenty injector left which means 31's are most likely fine for you.

That would be great, and add to the value of this thread for others.

Did a little shopping locally tonight. I found the dino Rotella 10W-30 and Lucase Break-In Additive. I'm going to need another couple bottle of the additive and another jug of the oil for my first 3K miles, but I bought all they had.

Oh yeah...I decided to go with the old school/LSX Chevy Orange paint for the block I am from the SBC generation, so it only seemed appropriate.

I've realized that I don't have cylinder head locating dowels. I can't find them on Summits or Jegs website. Both are right here in Ohio, so next day delivery. Anyone got the dimensions?

For a 1/4 mile run, I maxed at 68% IDC and averaged 56% on 42lb 8.1 injectors.

Thanks for the injector info.

Can anyone help me with the head dowel pins?
