I'm meeting up with my transmission guy about beefing up my bone stock 4l60e. I've heard them called 4lshittyE's to other unspeakable things lol. But I've put some HARD miles on that thing, especially after doing the cam swap and it still shifts fine. Once I get everything lined up I'll post more info about the build. I'll most likely do a summit rocker trunion upgrade for peice of mind and touch the heads myself 😕Lol

Has anyone actually had a 4l60e behind 400-500 hp and had it hold up?

I've got around 40k on mine with the last 15k supercharged and stI'll doing great. Told my buddy when he built it to throw everything except billet shafts at it. He claims it's the stoutest 4L60 they've ever built. But I'm not delusional, a 80 swap is on the list of future mods.

If you don't mind me asking, how much to do what you did. Mine will be a daily driver, not that I won't be in it, cuz I will but it won't see a track.

I'm thinking around 2200-2500 with Yank converter and labor. Plus my buddy and I are usually trading his wrenching for some tint. Tranny was built late 2010 also. My truck is a heavy bitch and so is my foot. My only complaint with it has been the 1-2 shift that will chirp the 33's unless you let completely off the throttle. Surprisingly haven't had any u joint problems. Hell, matter of fact both u,joints stayed in the truck when I shattered the driveshaft at speed 1 day.

Mine held up for years, still worked fine when I pulled it. I knew it would be a matter of time. The 80e manners are much better IMO

From what I understand, the 80e won't just swap out with the 60e. Correct me if I'm wrong...😳

Correct, the exact extent depends if you are 2x4 or 4x4

I used a B&M flex plate, bolted right up. Only the early 6.0's had the longer cranks that cause issues.
