The accessories will bolt to the aluminum block (AFAIK there aren't any external differences b/t the LS1 and 6 blocks) except for one bolt on the truck a/c compressor bracket.
You can keep all of the accessories, intake & exhaust manifolds, etc from the truck motor and put them on the aluminum block. You save around 80-100 pounds off of the nose of the truck with the aluminum block, which is one of the reasons I like the swap so much. All you're really doing is swapping the iron long block for the aluminum one.
Good luck!

What are the LS6 going for?? I would think that for the price of an LS6 you could get a 6.0 longblock ($1200) and a centrifugal blower ($3000). Now thats fast (in comparison to just an LS6).

I personally would rather have a warranty with the motor for at least one year.
No worries for one year and still have one hell of a engine that you know has 405 hp and you are not guessing at it. Just my opinion.

LS6 405HP #88984272 $5150 Long block
LQ9 345HP #88984279 $3095 Long Block
All you need is a cam in the 6.0 and it will make more power than the LS6. The LQ4 and LQ9 use cylinder heads with the same ports as the LS6, the only difference is the chamber size. Add it up, 6.0 has the same heads, larger bore, all its missing is a cam. You could run a pretty big cam in a 6.0, and still make more low end then the LS6.
