Default 50rwhp TTS LLY "Tow Tune" 1/4mi results

I'm a "beta test" truck for TTS Powerloader's new Tow Tune for LLY Duramaxes. The truck is a 7120lb unladen 2004.5 Sierra 3500 SRW CC LB 4x4 Dura/Allison:

Before (bone stock) at LACR:

60' 2.642
330' 7.450
1/8th 11.392
MPH 61.871
1000' 14.723
1/4mi 17.692
MPH 78.327

After (TTS Towing Tune) at Carlsbad:

60' 2.156
330' 6.306
1/8 ET 9.824
1/8 MPH 69.54
1/4 ET 15.539
1/4 MPH NA (other passes were 85.6 avg)

LACR is about 1/2 second slower than Carlsbad with non-turbo motors, and about .3 slower with turbo motors. So about 1.7 seconds quicker, or for those who don't drag, you would hit the freeway at 69mph on a 700' onramp instead of 61mph.

Biggest gains were in 1st gear. I actually jumped a Viper for about 100ft. 5th gear had little improvement.

So it was not my imagination, this tune has excellent "grunt" at low speeds, but not as much at high speed.

Nice times with the tune. How did you jump on a Viper with 2.1 60' times. He must have had real bad traction.

He was wearing BFG Drag Radials, and I was wearing OEM tires. Gimme 6 months, and will smoke 'em.

Damn, that is pretty nice. Picking up almost 2 seconds from a 50rwhp tune.

Have you had the truck on the dyno yet?

Keep us updated.

Yeah really good. Duramax that 360 hp and 590+? ftbl. only went 15.5 ??? My so-called slow a@# 8100 went 15.42 at 87.5 mph in 85%huimdty. Somethings wrong with that.
Sorry not try to diss you man, trust me, I have heard all about how a duramax will spank the 8.1 stock or not. Must not.

How did you launch the truck?
Does the tune rid computer of tgmnt??

Not sure if you missed the 7120lb (empty) 3500 4x4 CC LB part. Truck is over 20ft long, seats 5+ adults, and has everything including TV for the kids.

The "Tow Tune" is very mild, and you can't tell the truck isn't bone stock. Mileage is up slightly, and it doesn't make "smoke".

I'll try to push it into the 14's without adding HP.

He was wearing BFG Drag Radials. But he had a hard time launching as the track was very slick.

I'll be dyno'g Wed to see the actual output of the tune.

8100 hammer, lol, you would get smoked by a D/A with a mild tuner. McRats is an ENORMOUS 3500HD with a very conservative tune (beta testing too). most of the 2500HD smaller D/A trucks run low 16s bone stock. and low 14s with a programer. and get 20 mpg on the highway...and tow 15K + lbs in overdrive...

sorry, not even in the same league. your gasser is a great gasser though.
