Hello i am looking for any info or links to other posts that will help me achieve my goals.

I have a a 99 1500 with the 5.3 completely stock... 9 inch lift on 38s with 4.88 gears.

I have made power in boats before but not trucks. So i am not sure where to start. Im not looking for a drag truck just want good sounding cam that can be a daily driver and also pull my bog truck to the bogs... My budget is max 4000.00 but would rather stay under 2500.00 if possible. Thanks Jeramy

There are plenty of used superchargers on the site's classifieds for under $4,000.

500 dont think u can do it it under budget that but maybe with a turbo kit u might be able to get those 500HP....maybe bolt ons a good camand some n2o u might get there also

Agreed. With that budget you wont get 500hp unless you turbo/supercharge it and youd have to get a used one to keep that budget.

Magnacharger, and mild cam get my vote. You need as much torque at lower rpm as you can get.

^ he's right plus I doubt you'd get 500 rwhp NA with a 5.3 regardless of budget

OK well blower/turbo is out of the question.. I had blown 500hps in my boat brodex heads the whole 9 yards 25000 in them and will never go to that extreme again.. I am looking for a good sound with more torque for pulling the bogger.... I would be happy with a good cam suggestion and maybe some mild head work a tuner cold air and exhaust. Thanks Jeramy

A used magnacharger is really the only way to go with those 38's. I don't think there is custom cam that will make any more TQ down low then the stock cam does. A bolt on supercharger isn't really that radical.
