Default 5.3L specs?

Looking for all the specs on a 5.3Liter:

- deck height
- stroke
- rod length
- bore
- compression height
- head chamber CC
- valve size
- port CC
- head flow
- gasket thickness

I have a 5.3Liter Silverado and I'm looking at doing some "minor" hopups and want to know what all I'm dealing with here.......

I am waiting for one of the engines in my household to blow so I can rebuild it.

Keep us updated on those "minor hopups" ok?

thats the trick.....if I can find out what I have to work with here, then I will know how far I cam go with these "minor hopups"

for now it looks like mild port/polish/2.0" intake valve on the extra set of 5.3L heads I have sitting around and perhaps toss in the stock cam I have from my 01 F-body.....

well starting from that 9.5:1 (shitty..... ), my guess would be ~10.2:1-10.5:1 with a 0.050" mill and a thin head gasket..........

Where did you get this info from? 200CC intake sounds way too big and a 70CC exhaust sounds a little too small even though these cams favor the exhaust side. Compression is actually 9:45:1 But seriously, where did you get the head CC info from?
