Default Is the 5.3 wider than a 350?

I was thinking about building a 350 I have and putting it in my Suzuki Samurai. However I found a smoking deal on a 6 liter and thought instead put it in my Silverado and my 5.3 out of my truck in my Samurai. Then I could have more power in the truck and a motor that I know has been taken care of in the Samurai. It seems like I was told one time that the LS series was a lot wider than the old 350s. Thanks

Sorry but what GEN motor do I have a GENIII and the 350 is a GENI right? It is a 1990 TBI motor but that shouldn't matter because the 350 block never changed did it? Thanks, sorry if that is a stupid question but I want to be sure.

Well I guess I am look at almost 5 inches wider. I wonder if it will work...On the LS based motor that is also taking into account the stock plug wires. I had aftermarket plug wires on my Z28 and they didn't stick out near as far. So if I ran stock manifolds and aftermarket plug wires it might work. I will have to make some measurements. Thanks for the AWESOME pictures and making it so clear!!!!!!!!!! Have a beer on me.
