Will a 6.0 on a 5.3 tune run like ****? Reflashing it to the 6.0 tune but was just wondering cuz the motor is knocking some an didn't kno if the tune could cause tht.

 

I can't see a tune causing knocking. Sounds like something's wrong with your engine.

 

is it knocking or pinging? Big difference between the 2...

 

Thts what im not sure of, the mechanic said its loud tho an he's not sure. I didn't kno if the timing is diff on the two, or something like tht could make it loud.

Idle. An this motor has been sitting awhile. It did have low compression on #3&5 on friday. Then he tried it today an it has good compression now. So idk idk it just needs the 6.0 tune an b ran or what.

 

If it's knocking at idle, you either have a mechanical problem, or something is loose. Check your torque converter bolts. Absolutely no way would I drive it. How is the oil pressure, cold and warmed up?

 

Im not sure, the shop where the swap is bein done is an hr away an idk for sure how long he has let it run an what not. He's putting the 6.0 tune on the pcm now, then going to c how it runs. I just didn't kno if the 5.3 tune would throw a 6.0 off.
