Default 5.3 to ls7

So I was just curious, would an LS7 motor fit going from a 5.3L? (2005 5.3 alum block sierra)

I think it would be badass to say you have an LS7 in it, let alone the 505hp stock.

And another question is, what kind of upgrade should I do on my tranny if I were to get a supercharger. I have the 4l60. I plan to get a tune and headers soon and then already have intake and exhaust. Im assuming those wouldn't add enough to do much to the drivetrain until I put on the magnacharger if I do. What level upgrade would I need?

If you plan on adding a supercharger or even an ls7, start beefing your trans up now. An 80e would be a great idea or maybe a built 65e. The ls7 seems to be too expensive for what it puts out. I think you can build a 408 for much cheaper.

sweet thanks for the info.

So w/o the LS7 in mind, a 4l80 would be the way to go wth the charger and headers and tune then. If I were to go with FLT, what level would I be looking at? (Just to get an idea on price)

Contact Vince@FLT. You can discuss all of your plans and options. He will give you a good recommendation.

I know they stay pretty tied up during the day. I've PM'd Vince here on PT, and have always gotten a response within a day or two. I wouldn't think they're ignoring you, but just trying to get caught up on business.
