Default 5.3 liter torque improvements?

i have recently purchased a 04 sierra ECSB 4WD,5.3 auto trans,3.73 gear, locking diff.i have only 3500 miles on it and i am very unimpressed with the low end power(below 3500 rpm).
i have done an airbox mod,K&N filter, ported the inlet of the throttle body, bypassed the coolant in the throttle body.and by my highly accurate butt crack dyno results were nill.
HELP?
power from 3500 to 5500 is good but low end is terrible, wont even turn a tire from a standing start.
any body have any input on camshafts, exhaust, raising compression ratio?
this is an everyday truck heavy loads, pulling car trailer, etc,so big power at 6000 rpm is not what i am looking for.
thanks in advance,

Welcome to torqe manegment.First thing to do is get a pcm from nelson performance. If yu get a transgoshift kit and servos,he can delete all of tq mgt or 80%.Yu will be able to burn your tires down after this.

How much do youwant to spend. Get a custom tune, long tube header, crank pulley and some e-fans. You should feel a nice difference down low after this.

How much (in general) does a Nelson Tune to get rid of the Torque Management go for?

you can get rid of 100% TM but you will want a shift kit and upgraded servos and probably new accumulator piston. the TM is to stop the tranny from killing intself which usually happens anyways. Allen I believe usually gets rid of 60-80% of it but he can do anything you want and will give you suggestions what will work best.

Default Do Like I Did!

I had 60% TM removed on my 1st tune from Nelson and it was way better than stock but then I got the Transgo Kit+vette servo+cooler and told Allen to roll that TM up and smoke it! JK I just told him to lose it and there was even a huge difference between the two! Get a Nelson tune you will not be sorry! Ask anyone
