Isn't a UD pulley good for like 10hp and cost a couple hundred?

To me thats not worth it. I could be wrong though, wouldnt be the first time...

how do you check crank hp with the motor in the truck? 400 at the wheels is going to be a little tough un less you go Forced induction or spray just my opinion though

my stock 6L put down 377 to the wheels on 6psi.. and 399 on 8psi

so since you already have headers look for a used Radix blower.. that would give you 400 to the wheels easy..

yeah i was gonna vote for the radix too. you can't get a true measure of the crank HP with the motor in the truck but with the 4l60e you can divide your rwhp by .85 for a rough estimate.

Well he did 320rwhp at the dyno and then you add the 25% drivetrain loss from the tranny and a big stall and you get 400 crank hp! And I did say "about 400hp"

yeah, if that.
Most people who use the UD crank pulley also put on an OD alt. pulley... I instead just put on a higher amp alt. But similar to e-fans, they aren't going to be gains you'll feel by the seat of your pants, but they do tend to add up with everything else.
Neither are mods for the super budget conscious.
