Welcome to the site.

Stay away from hand held tuners!

Look around read take some input on it first before just jumping in, you may do something that you may not like and just wasted money.

A good tuner is Black Bear.

Where do you want those horsies, at the flywheel or rear wheels? I'd do heads and a 220/220 cam with a BlackBear tune, help the trans out with an HD2 shift kit, Corvette/billet servos, CircleD 3k to 3200 converter, and strengthen the rear with a Detroit TruTrac. Some 4.10 gears would compliment this combo nicely

Your current truck intake will be sufficient, and you can mod your stock airbox or get the CAI of your choice, I like my Volant with ram air tube. A little pricey, but a quality piece

i got a specter cai from autozone for 150 bucks and it sucks so hard it pulls the heat shield from the hood, i also took out the metal plate that the stock air box sets on so it actually gets cold air

Pacesetter long tube headers, off road y pipe, cold air intake, underdrive pulley, and a 220 or bigger cam should easily get you 400 or more horsepower. My brother's truck made about 400 crank hp with those same mods and a 221 221 cam and without the underdrive pulley.
