Default Flowmaster 10 series

I'm very curious, does anyone have any REAL knowledge of how well the flowmaster 10 series flow compared to a magnaflow muffler? I'm not interested in any other comments on any other flowmasters, only the 10 series please.

I'd say the magnaflow will flow better because it is straight through.I had a 10 series on my 454SS and it is a very small muffler with a single V inside it.

I had a 10 series on my 5.3 just replaced my factory muffler with it, I thought it sounded decent, it just resonated inside the cab really bad. Then when I went with longtubes and no cats, it was unbearable. I switched to a 7'' diameter by 22'' long magnaflow straight through, the magnaflow sounds better hands down imho.

i had one on my truck 3" in 3" out just dumped right after it, i had stock manifolds and y with cats. it has a different sound, its not real boomy sounding like the 40 series. it sounded ok at idle, just not very loud, sounded very good at part throttle and droned horribly at cruise, and at wot it would straight up scream, very cop catcher. i know this doesnt have anything to do with flow but its an idea of how loud it is.

I put up a thread about these same two mufflers a while back. I thought about going with the 10 series, but I know magnaflow is supposed to flow much better. Magnaflow makes two versions of their race series mufflers. A 6x6 round and a 5x8 oval. I'm running a Flowmaster Super 40 now, and I still can't decide which brand to go with. I'm sort of afraid of getting that farm truck sound!
