Default 5.3/60e to 6.0/80e

Well this weekend we are making the big swap on my truck from my 200k 5.3 stock internals with a 60e on its last leg with shift kit, servos and a circle d 278mm stall. Going to a 70k mile lq4 that is getting a isky 212/212 .561/.561 112lsa cam made for boost and a stock 50k mile 4l80e with the stock converter. My question to you guys is will I see much gain if any at all to my 1/4 mile with that combo? More power but the trans and stock converter is gonna offset that but I just don't know how much. Thanx for looking..

If you dont have at least 4.10's its gonna be a dog outta the hole.I did the same swap on my ccsb. I went from 3.23's to 4.10s and now I'm pretty happy with the setup Be sure to have a computer with a segment swap already done. Happy wrenching.

In that case I think your gonna be in love with all the new found power. Sounds like you may have boost in your future.

this is all the wiring portion. besides that, a modified trans crossmember, you can use a th400 yoke and a bastard u joint on your stock driveshaft, and either an 80e flexplate, or your stock flexplate with a crank spacer, and a new converter. you can do a quick search and find quite a few threads on this subject
