Default What can I expect?

Hoping for low 14s out of my swap, am I asking too much?

Details:
44K mile 04' LQ4 & 4L80E (stock converter)
Stock exhaust manifolds & cats, 14" case magnaflow on the stock CB
Modified factory air box and Airraid MIT
TPiS ZL10 cam and OEM LS6 springs, hardened 7.4" push rods
202/216 @ .050 - .525 lift 112 LSA
LS9 head gaskets, untouched 317 heads
Factory intake manifold and TB, 8.1L injectors
Jeremy F street tune
Factory 3.73s and G80
18X9 wheels with 275/60-18 street tires
Trucks is about 4650-4700 with me in it - that is with the current 5.3/60E

Future mods planned are: 05' + radiator & efans, ported tb. Maybe a small, towing friendly converter and headers as the budget allows.

No one has done anything even remotely close to this setup? A friend of mine has a 14' Ram CC 2WD, Hemi, 8spd auto, 3.92 posi. He wants to race in the worst way. Hoping I have him covered at the stripe.

I think you may be good for high 13's. The 1/8th not so much but the second 1/2 should pull hard. Kind of depends on your 60' how you do against him but I think you've got it!

That stock converter is going to kill you at the track. Its a heavy pile of ****. Even accounting for that I think you should still be able to pop off a low 14, maybe a high 13 in perfect conditions.

I really wish I could have swung a converter, but it's just not doable right now. I figured between the stock converter, 2.48 1st gear, and tall tires... it's going to be a turtle off the line.

He ran his truck Friday night,

2.126 sixty foot. 9.163 @ 76.46 in the 1/8, 14.304 @ 95.56 MPH in the 1/4. He only made one pass after a decent cool down.

Looks like I am going to get killed in the first sixty feet, and then hope I have enough to drive around him.

Why waist the time putting that cam in? It is practically stock. Sell the pile of **** and get a FTI converter. I guarantee you will gain more from a 3200 stall then a tiny *** cam.

The Converter is like $300.

Running 93 octane with an 87 octane tune will gain you nothing.

My stock 5.3 seemed to run a little better on 93. Might have just been a band aid for an underlying problem. I heard some light detonation on my last track outing. (87 octane)

Made a pass tonight finally...

14.321 @ 98.02

Right off the street. Going to get back in line soon and see if I can back it up.
