Well It's time for the trans, I've done a few searches in here, but can't find what I want. So any of you that have done the 4L80e swap or the FLP, if you could do it again wich would you do? Keep in mind I have to drive this thing EVERY day. I don't EVER take it ease on anything. I will beat this truck tell the Engine blows.LOL I just don't want to deal with anymore trans problems. also I plan on shooting alittle Nitrous some-time this year and would like to see 500+ at the wheels, all the time.
If I do go with the FLP I'll get a Denny's Diveshaft.
The speed Engineering drive shaft is guaranteed up to 800 hp.
I'd like to find a wrecked 2500 with a 6.0, 4l80e, and trans temp in the gauge cluster, is that a good idea? If so Where sould I look for one?
And as always, cost is a concern.
Please let me know what you think I should do, thanks for reading.

On a heavy turbocharged truck I htink the 80E is a good choice due to the high 1st gear. It will help you build boost faster
Plus the gear spacing is superior anyway.
I think the FLP is a great trans but I wouldn't spend the gobs of money on a built 60E. If you're gonna do anything spend money on a built 80E and do it the right way.. ONCE! Hahaha

Please don't take my advice as the end all be all as I am only just now doing a similar swap. I have burnt up too many 60Es to trust them anymore. Plus after talking with Chuck he said he doesn't think a 60E would hold up to a 5000lb truck with 500+rwhp. I just didn't want to take any chances.

I also heard Parish8 complain about first gear of the 4l80e, saying that it is to high unless you have a ton of torque. Will I have enough torque to over come the high first gear?
