Default 42 # Injectors

How much HP will the 42# 8.1 injectors support ? I read in the forsale adds someone said only 450. Is this right ?

this is not a scientific number but probably somewhere around 450-500... because you dont want to go past about 80% of the duty cycle... but also fuel pressure can increase or decrease the injector flow...

Thats a good link. But how will I know what my HP will be on my engine untill its actually dyno'ed

you can speculate, thats it. Take your best guess and try to match the injector. Then dyno it and look at inj. duty cycle to see how close you are.

What are you building that you are worried that 42lb inj. might be insufficient?

save yourself from doing it twice and go with 60s

Does someone make the 60# injectors that are plug & play? I dont like cutting up my harness if I dont have to.

I dont think so but you can buy adapters if you don't want to splice

Thks for the info guys. And I found some plug and play 62# Delphi multec II's on fiveomotorsports web site. They have 42# up to 72# .
